Timbre Tones Microphones
Timbre Tones studio condenser microphones are handmade in Oulu, Finland, with quality craftsmanship, unique real wood exteriors of your choice and an open, warm tone to capture the intricate timbres of your voice and instruments. You can feel it in your hand too: no faux woods or plastic here, just the real, organic thing! A genuine abalone, brass or spectrolite inlay adorns the front of this cardioid pattern large diaphragm electret condenser microphone with biased FET transformerless design.
Technically, this is an ”"open source" project, modified from Scott Helmke’s magnificent Alice microphone, which in turn is based on Schoeps microphone circuitry. All the components are of tightest tolerances, and the capsules are Transound TSB-2555BXZ3-GP large diaphragm.
What you pay for when you buy a Timbre Tones mic, is the beautiful design and hand-craftsmanship only a luthier can provide. I spend hours in my shop to make sure your mic delivers your voice and instrument’s tone true and clear, and that it looks good like no other mic on the market.
There’s a variety of beautiful tonewoods from which to choose the material for the ring. You can also choose from different grille mesh patterns to make sure the mic fits your studio interiors…
